Cathedral veil Nicolette

Nicolette carries flowers, and nothing else.

This is the veil for the woman who chose a plain gown and wants the veil to carry the ornament. The tulle is fine and soft, worn as a drop veil - straight over the head and down over the face, smooth at the crown, with no gathering - and cut long enough to reach the floor and settle over the train. It is sheer: the bodice, the straps and the line of the shoulders read through it. Around the face and across the shoulders the tulle is left bare. The first flowers appear at about hip height, where they run close together in a band across the veil, and below it they lie singly on down to the very end, large blooms roughly the size of a hand, sheer petals gathered at the base and applied one by one, standing proud of the tulle and casting their own shadow. They sit both along the edge and out across the face of the veil. Nothing else is added: the flowers do the whole job, and the clean line of the dress stays readable underneath.
