Apolonia veil

Caltagirone 2025

Apolonia - quiet company, with one flowering edge.

Apolonia is for the woman who wants her veil to follow her, not speak over her. Light, soft tulle falls in a slow cascade to cathedral length, softening every outline without hiding the work on her gown, and it settles on the floor in a wide, unhurried arc that reaches far beyond the train of the dress. The one place it does speak is the edge. A border of floral lace applique traces the outline, cut petals and slender leaves following the tulle in a soft scallop instead of a straight hem. A faint sparkle worked into the flowers catches the light when she turns. The border sits low, along the length that trails and pools on the floor, and runs unbroken around that whole outline. Higher up, past the waist and the shoulders, the tulle is left completely bare - a single sheer tier, nothing drawn over the face - so the lace of her gown reads straight through it. Gathered at the crown on a firm comb that holds it in place, it falls behind her.

Because the finest details are the ones that let her stay the centre of attention.
